Amber Squalls, owner of Super Chic' Wigs and Hair, graduated from Central Michigan University in 2011 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. Not satisfied with the entry level jobs she was receiving, she decided to start her own event planning business. Due to her location it was not successful. Instead of settling for the entry level jobs, Ms. Squalls decided to continue working in her family business until she decided her next move. As a hobby Amber enjoyed making wigs for herself and doing her own make up. Her aunt suggested that she go into business making wigs for people but Amber doubted herself. Looking for a work-from-home job to continue helping take care of her grandmother, and also growing weary of working dead-end jobs on the side throughout the years; Amber decided it might be time to take her wig making a bit more serious especially since the hair business seemed to be booming! After a couple of years of research and hair testing, she had everything together to offer high quality hair. 

Amber is from Royal Oak Township, Michigan (one of the oldest predominately black communities outside of Detroit). She comes from a family of entrepreneurs. Quite a few of her relatives opened businesses back in the day, however her grandparents store is the only surviving business left of the lineage. Started in 1949 and still open until this day, Amber works in the store during the day. She chose to remain working at the store mainly to help take care of her grandmother who passed at the age of 101 May, 11 2019. Since then Amber chose to remain at her family store to help her mother keep it open and also because it offers her flexibility to run her hair business.

Amber created  Super Chic' Wigs and Hair, formerly known as, Krowne De Queen Wigs and Hair in 2019. After the pandemic in 2020, she decided to rebrand to cater more towards her target audience and also create more diversity in the product line. Her hopes for the rebrand were to offer more in-trend looks while offering a variety of wig types. Krowne De Queen only offered closure and custom frontal glueless hand sewn wigs. Super Chic' offers closure wigs, frontal wigs, glueless frontal wigs, custom wigs and premade wigs. The variety also allows a variation in price. With a combination of unique content and great marketing Ms. Squalls is sure that Super Chic' will be your favorite hair company!
